Nowadays, everyone has a portal device to take with them to either school or work. Some of us have a laptop or notebook, while others use a tablet because they find it easier to handle. But what if you could just take a device, only slightly bigger than a USB stick with you to work. Then just plug it into the the local monitor and start working, wouldn't that be "the most portable PC"?
A company located in South Korea has heard our prayers. They have just announced the official release of their new portable PC. We're talking of course about Lucoms's new "Daewoo Dongle" . The company, which is known for producing information panels used everywhere around the world has announced the product to be released in May.
So far, not that much about the dongle's specs has been released to the public, but it will probably have either 1 GB or 2 GB of RAM.
Seeing that is says "Intel" on the dongle, we can just assume it is powered by an Intel processor. The dongle will have the storage capacity of modern smartphones, so that would be either 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB. According to what we've read, it will also have a slot for a MicroSD card so that you can enlarge the dongle's storage capacity if you choose to. The Daewoo Dongle has a HDMI port attached to it so that you can plug it directly into your monitor and start doing whatever you have to do.The dongle will run on either windows 8.1 or Windows 10, so it will be compatible with all your old files, you won't need to change anything's format.
This device will be able to do everything an average tablet can do these days, which we find absolutely incredible, considering the device is only 11 centimeters long (4.3 inches). Adding to that, the device only weighs 46 grams (1.6 ounces),
Even though it would not be able to take over the "portable PC market" directly, we here at BlackHoleTec think this is a cool piece of technology and we would love to try it out.
