Disney streaming service to cost less than Netflix

Disney is planning to launch its own streaming service which will be comparable to Netflix, but with a lower pricetag. However, they do mention that this will be because of the lower amount of content at launch. During their latest earnings report they already announced that they will remove their content from Netflix when their agreement ends in 2019. This is when they plan to launch their streaming service.

The service will offer Disney movies and content from several Disney channels and franchises. While there's not yet a clear image on how much it'll cost, the monthly fee would be significantly lower than a Netflix subscription.

We suppose that Disney will try to get some customers from Netflix to their own service by pulling their content from Netflix. In addition to that, they want to give discount to theme park visitors or members of specific clubs.

In some countries, the arrangement for Disney content on Netflix is already ended and the content is therefor not accessible anymore.
