After the OnePlus 6, the new OnePlus 6T. OnePlus is known for their rather fast and small but still noticeable upgrades. Those upgrades can go from having a better processor to having more battery.
For those who are not familiar with the intriguing and competitive brand OnePlus, you can describe them as a smaller smartphone company that knows how to play with the market and, although many people would deny it, they are kind of trendsetters on many different levels. To give a concrete example, OnePlus already uses 6GBRAM in their phones since the OnePlus 3, that was released in 2016. While we had to wait for Huawei to do the same in February 2017 with the P10 plus, Samsung in April 2017 with their Samsung galaxy S8 and Apple isn’t even on the horizon!
Now OnePlus released their OnePlus 6T. An improvement on the OnePlus 6. To start there are a few small changes; the screen will be a bit longer, so there is a diagonal increase from 6,28” to 6,41”. The screen covers the whole phone except for a little notch in the shape of a little drop. The casing is also a bit thicker, this is so because it will contain a higher capacity battery, it will go from 3300mAh to 3700mAh.
Those small changes are typical for OnePlus. But there are also more significant changes, like the fingerprint reader/sensor that is in the middle of the screen instead of at the back. They also announced that they are removing the 3,5mm-jack. And you can’t get this phone in the 64GB-version because OnePlus increased the storage you can now get their smartphones, they now have a 128GB- and a 256GB-version.
The other things remain the same as the camera or the material used.
To conclude, the 6T is a good follow-up for the 6 although the differences are not that huge, it will be a significant improvement on their flagship.
